Argentina has recognized the incline of incidents associated with differing Mental Health aspects and have responded with a smart approach. The country is known to have an approximate 198 therapists to every 100,000 inhabitants. This may seem like an excessive number per capita, however Argentina as a whole has a different method when it comes to Mental Health.

Prevention and progress are two very distinct reasons Argentina just may have accessed the secret door to Mental Health success. While it is known that depression, anxiety and other conditions can make everyday stresses harder, it can be even worse when it is ignored. In lieu of considering Mental Health as an uncurable syndrome, the culture of Argentina classified Phycological services the same as treating a physical ail. This denoted a climate of acceptance when it came to attending therapeutic sessions.

It is a common practice in Argentina to obtain a Mental Health provider as their go to place when they are having a rough week or just not feeling up to par. They do not need to have diagnosable symptoms to make an appointment. Instead, many Argentineans visit their Therapist to stay healthy. Psychoanalysis is considered a Freudian technique that promotes self-discovery. It is not a favored approach in some areas, however Argentina has an entire sector in a University that is dedicated to furthering its benefits. Psychoanalysis is held in high regards as a way to overcome and succeed our own limitations. Understanding how our emotions and thoughts are integrated into our conscious mind is at the forefront of a healthier lifestyle.

In response to Argentina’s perspective on Mental Health, their country has less occupants that are medicated for emotional or mental inconsistencies. They are self-aware and involved which produces a much lower percentage of residents who suffer from depression and anxiety than most other countries. The positive influence of Argentina’s impression of Mental Health is something we should all reflect on in our own evaluations and awareness.
